Colectivo Unidos por gorgona

Gorgona is an island in the Colombian Pacific, home to numerous species of animals, making it a living paradise. The waters of Gorgona are frequented by dolphins, porpoises, sperm whales, and pilot whales, as well as rorquals, whitetip sharks, turtles, and the majestic humpback whale, known regionally as “ballena Yubarta” or “ballenato.”

 

This beautiful island is in grave danger due to the threat of a military project. These developments would drastically affect all these species and destroy the marine ecosystem. We are working alongside scientists, environmental activists, and the local community, all of whom oppose this project, which would only devastate the beautiful island of Gorgona and the life it sustains.
